Opening a packet of coffee is not a guarantee of freshness. Many name brands are weeks or months out of the roaster before the product reaches the consumer, especially imported brands. Coffee is a perishable product, and as such, has an optimum time frame for consumption. Two to three weeks is the generally accepted standard. Storage and handling in this period is important.  Minimizing oxygen, light and excessive heat exposure will keep the subtle flavours available for longer.

At Swig  Coffee, once the beans leave the roaster, we pack them immediately into triple foil, one-way valve bags.  These bags exclude oxygen and light.  We also stamp a roast date on each packet.  To further guarantee freshness, we encourage clients to order less, more often.

Being local we offer to showcase our coffee at your premises.  We use your machine and grinder so you can observe how our coffee performs in your environment.
